The technician should first remove the suction accumulator's spring lock coupling connected to the manifold and tube assembly then disconnect the electrical connector of the A/C cycling switch. The mounting bolt of the suction accumulator bracket enables removal before disconnecting the spring lock coupling from the A/C evaporator core and lastly removing the suction accumulator itself. The top of the suction accumulator needs its A/C cycling switch to be removed as the last step. Installation requires reverse order steps followed by service of the new suction accumulator with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent oil which meets Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
