Start brake rotor/disc repair and servicing of the E-150 by first removing the
Brake Pads. You must first remove the brake disc and hub through the process of taking away the hub grease cap and cotter pin followed by the removal of the nut retainer together with the spindle nut and front wheel outer bearing retainer washer and outer front wheel bearing before you can take off the brake disc and hub. A brake disc machining process should be performed on vehicles by following the lathe manufacturer's instructions while also removing the wheel hub grease seal and the inner front wheel bearing. The front wheel bearings and brake disc and hub need inspection using the F3AZ-19579-SA Metal Brake Parts Cleaner F3AZ-19579-SA or a product of equal effectiveness for cleaning before installation. Front wheel bearings require Premium Long-Life Grease XG-I-C or -K or an equivalent which satisfies Ford specification ESA-MIC75-B. The procedure starts with installing one wheel hub grease seal followed by the inner front wheel bearing and another wheel hub grease seal. First position the brake disc with the hub and then add the outer front wheel bearing and front wheel outer bearing retainer washer and finally install the spindle nut. The spindle nut requires tightening as the brake disc and hub are rotated before the technician loosens it by two turns. Perform three tightens of the spindle nut and three corresponding loosens when the brake disc and hub are being rotated. As the final step, install the brake pads throughout this procedure.
