Secure the two wire form bolts at 15 Nm (133 lb-in) but reinstall them when the job requires their tightening. The next step involves removing two bolts which maintain the parking brake cable bracket to the crossmember before tightening these bolts to 15 Nm (133 lb-in) at installation time. Disconnect the intermediate parking brake cable at the parking brake cable equalizer before disconnecting the front of the rear right parking brake cable conduit at the frame bracket. The removal process ends when you disconnect the parking brake cable from its connection to the parking brake lever and take away the cable. Testing the parking brake system must be performed after reversing the cable install steps.
