How to service and repair the Transmission Pan and Automatic Transmission Filter for the 5R44E and 5R55E transmissions on 2009 Ford Ranger?

Service the 5R44E/5R55E filter by positioning on a hoist. If equipped, unclip heat shield. Drain fluid, loosen rear and two front pan screws, pry down and remove pan, gasket and filter. Clean pan and magnet. Lubricate O-rings, install filter and pan, refill, start engine, cycle gears and check level.
