How to service and repair the inner tie rod on 2009 Ford Fusion?

In order to service the inner tie rod remove steering gear, identify pinion shaft and housing. loosen the tie-rod jam nut with a soft-jaw vise, and remove the outer tie-rod end, tightening it to 80 Nm. Take off bellows boots to right-hand inner tie-rod end and hold on to the piston shaft tightening to 103 Nm. Installation by undoing the process.
