Clean out steering gear; label pinion shaft/housing. Secure in soft-jaw vise. Loosen jam nut. Remove outer tie-rod end. In the case of RH inner tie rod, both bellows boots are removed. Hold piston shaft. Tight: jam nut 90 Nm/66 lb-ft; outer end 48 Nm/35 lb-ft; inner tie rod 103 Nm/76 lb-ft.
