How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on 2008 Mercury Sable?

In order to service the coolant reservoir, make the engine cool. Unscrew the cap (counterclockwise), and remove it. Clamp the lower hose in, siphon the coolant, disconnect the hoses and take out the degas bottle. Installation Undo the procedure and re-tighten the bolts to 9 Nm, then replenish the coolant.
