How to service and repair the engine oil dipstick tube on 2007 Mercury Mariner?

To service the engine oil dip stick and tube position the vehicle in neutral on a hoist. Take out the splash shield bolts on the right hand side, and the oil level indicator with tube bolts. The old O-ring seal should be jettisoned and a new one lubricated using clean engine oil and then reinstalled.
