How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2007 Ford Taurus?

To fix the ignition switch, run the engine off, take off the steering column cover screws, and the cover. Next, loosen the bolts that hold on the cover that closes the opening, unconnect the ignition switch connector and remove the switch. Reassemble using specified torque screws and repower the SRS.
