How to service and repair the intermediate steering shaft on 2007 Ford Freestyle?

In order to restore steering column shaft intermediate, make sure that the vehicle is neutral on a hoist. De-bolt steering column cover and steering column bolts, attaching them to required torque during re-installation. Keep clamp on the intermediate shaft boot bearing open when getting it out and in place. Lastly, undo it and re-install parts.
