How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Lincoln Navigator?

To replace the ignition switch, take out the steering wheel and tilt release handle in order to reach screws. Unscrew the lower steering column shroud then the upper steering column shroud, then the multi-function switch. Unscrew the ignition switch connector, take off the switch and place it back in reversing process making sure to place the springs in their correct positions.
