How to service the brake light switch on 2005 Ford Escape?

In order to repair the brake light switch, unplug the electrical connector and take the switch off. To install, once only; to make additional adjustments, a new switch is needed. Turn the knob in the opposite direction, press the brake pedal, attached the switch, pushed the pedal, and re-plugged the electrical connector.
