2004 Mercury Grand Marquis Air Duct Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Instrument Panel Air Ducts on 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis?
A: The first step to work on instrument panel air distribution ducts involves removing the instrument panel. Start by removing the screw combined with the bracket followed by releasing the in-car temperature sensor hose retainers. Next dismantle the right-hand (RH) panel duct using screws before taking off both the screws and RH demister nozzle. Remove the left-hand(LH) demister nozzle screws consecutively before you disconnect the radio antenna. Pull out the screws which bind the LH panel duct to the defroster duct without disturbing the duct structure. Take the screws off the air distribution assembly and the LH panel duct before finalizing with the LH panel duct removal. The assembly completion requires execution of the reverse sequence used for disassembly.
