How to service the blower motor resistor on 2004 Ford Taurus?

In order to service the blower motor resistor, one must first take out the instrument panel insulator on the right side. Next, unscrew the screws that hold the electrical connector in place and also take out the screws that hold the blower motor resistor in place. Once the resistor has been removed, finish the installation by reversing the procedure.
