2002 Mercury Grand Marquis Air Duct Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the air duct on 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis?
A: The first step in servicing or repairing the air duct consists of instrument panel removal. First disconnect the in-car temperature sensor hose retainers before undoing the bracket screw along with the bracket. First remove the screws from both the right-hand (RH) panel duct and then proceed with taking out the screws from the RH demister nozzle. The service requires removal of screws along with the left-hand (LH) demister nozzle. Remove the screws which click the left-hand panel duct to the defroster duct while leaving the duct in place. The next step is to eliminate the screws and defroster duct from the vehicle while the LH panel duct needs to be removed last. To reassemble the components perform the procedures in the opposite order of disassembly.
