How to Service and Repair the Front Rack and Pinion Steering Gear on 2002 Lincoln Navigator?

To maintain/service the rack and pinion, hold it in a vise, position the gear, and remove the sector shaft housing cover. Removal of valve housing and piston assembly, bearings and seals. Clean and put together parts again making sure they fit into the correct position and all the bolts are tightened.
