How to Service the A/C Hose from Compressor to Condenser on 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis?

The first step to service the compressor to condenser discharge line starts with battery ground cable disconnection. The service will continue with refrigerant discharging then recovery as the next step. The technician disconnects and removes the A/C pressure cut-off switch after disconnecting its wire harness connector. First remove the nut that holds the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line and then disconnect the line from the A/C manifold and tube while following the spring lock coupling disconnect and connect procedure. Proceed to disconnect the discharge line that connects to the A/C condenser core and take away the removed line. The installation process consists of reversing the removal steps with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent oil which follows Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B for lubricating the O-ring seal.
