In order to fix the oil pan, disconnect the battery, take off the exhaust manifold heat shield and drain the oil. Unscrew the oil pan bolts, clean the mating surfaces, and replace the pan using a new one and a sealer. Install parts again, add oil to the engine and re-attach the battery and the vehicle will learn its adaptive strategy once again.
